In.Flammen baut zurzeit ein politisches Hip-Hop-Netzwerk zwischen Griechenland und Deutschland auf. Im Fokus stehen Selbstorganisierung, soziale Kämpfe und Solidarität. Die zweite Veranstaltung im L!Z startet um 19.30 Uhr mit Vortrag & Diskussion zum Squat Papoutsadiko in Athen (auf Englisch, kann aber gerne ins Deutsche übersetzt werden). Ab 22 Uhr Konzert mit Σπείρα (Athen), Rana Esculenta (Leipzig), TNT (Rationalistas-Ορθολογιστές) (Athen), DJ fogge d., gehostet von Le Monde Est En Flammes (Bremen/Athen/Berlin).

Selbstorganisierung und politischer Aktivismus in den Vororten Athens. Wie Squatting auch außerhalb des Stadtzentrums funktionieren kann. Das Beispiel Papoutsadiko
Squats oder autonome Zentren in Deutschland, die fernab der attraktiven Innenstadtbezirke liegen, sind selten. Für viele Aktivist*innen ist der Stadtrand zu weit entfernt und vor Ort fehlt es oft an lokaler Verankerung. Das Squat Papoutsadiko befindet sich in der Vorstadt Chaidari, einer Arbeiter*innengegend im Westen Athens. Die frühere Schuhfabrik wurde 2011 besetzt, nachdem sie mehrere Jahre leergestanden hatte. Seitdem sind die 1.500 Quadratmeter ein Ort, an dem sich Menschen selbst organisieren. Zurzeit baut das Squat eine eigene Stromversorgung auf, nachdem die Stromversorgung mehrfach gekappt wurde.
Wie funktioniert ein Squat am Stadtrand Athens, fernab von bekannten politischen Athener Bezirken wie Exarchia? Wie läuft die Nachbarschaftsarbeit? Wie steht es um den Aufbau der autonomen Stromversorgung? Es sprechen Aktivist*innen des Squats Papoutsadiko. Vortrag und Diskussion sind auf Englisch, aber können gerne ins Deutsche übersetzt werden.

Self-organisation and political action in the suburbs of Athens, taking the example of Papoutsadiko squat: How the practice of squatting finds space out of the metropolitan centre
You do not find many squats or autonomous centres in Germany that are located outside the attractive inner city districts. For many activists the outskirts of the city are out of reach while within the suburbs there is often a lack of local support. The squat Papoutsadiko is located in Chaidari, a neighbourhood in the working class area of the west side of Athens. The former shoe factory was squatted in 2011, after it had been empty for several years. Since then the building of 1.500 square meters has been a place for people to self-organize. At the moment, Papoutsadiko builds up an autonomous power supply for the squat because their one was cut several times.
How does a squat in the suburbs of Athens work, far away from well-known political districts like Exarchia? How does neigborhood activism work there? How is the building of the autonomous power supply going? A talk with members of the squat. Talk and discussion will be in English.
